Catatan
The developing world is changing radically. Trade reforms are now a central feature of development plans and replace systems of protection that had been built up during the post-war period but which failed to deliver lasting economic growth and properity. This publication analyses the experiences of eleven countries in East Asia and Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chili, Hongkong, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand) which are among the first developing countries to succeed in fortering enduring reforms. Their economics transformation, and the contribution of OECD countries to it, has produced exceptional benefits both for their own populations and for the world economy.
