Specifically, the book has been revised to reflect more current thinking in the field of "task analysis," along with a few other modifications. There is more emphasis on the significance of training to overcome specific performance "deficiencies," as well as new insights into techniques for getting a better handle on the "evaluation" of the training we have done.

The most noticeable change, again reflecting the times, is the addition of a new chapter entitled "Training for Upward Mobility."
